Worship
Worship is the expression in a moment of time of a life lived in conscious submission to Jesus.
We worship in a variety of different styles at St Paul’s:
Our first Service is on a Sunday at 9:30 am in the main church building.
This Service is liturgical - that means it uses set prayers. We sing hymns, and use an organ and choir to help. Every week we read the Bible and share bread and wine together just as Jesus asked us to do;
Our second Service is on a Sunday at 11:00 am in the main church building.
This Service is louder - often - uses a band with guitars, bass, drums and keyboard. The songs are more contemporary and there is a emphasis on gathering around the sacred Christian scriptures - because we want to hear God - and on praying with one another in the power of God’s Spirit;
Our third worship space - 3rd SPace is on a Sunday with cakes and coffee at 5:30 starting at 6:00 pm.
This congregation is designed to enable people between the ages of 18-33 to engage with the Kingdom of God through passionate and creative worship, bible centred teaching, prayer and social action; and
We have a Children’s Church which meets on a Sunday at 11:00 am in the church hall.
This is a fully functioning church where children under the age of 12 meet for worship and prayer; to study the scriptures; to minister to each other in the power of the Spirit; to break bread; to witness to Jesus and to serve.
If none of this strikes a chord but you like the ethos of St Paul’s then come and speak to us: we want a thousand tongues to sing God’s praise - and He doesn’t mind exactly which song or prayer you use, as long as it comes from your spirit and is in truth.
